MCC Vision
“the community we see”
We see a community that joins Jesus in the renewal of all things. We see a united church with a clear vision, providing relevant and life-giving services for new-borns, children, teenagers, young adults, singles, families, and seniors.
We see a diverse community that invites, introduces and welcomes people to Jesus from all nations, with a message of faith, hope and love.
We see a community that takes the message of the gospel beyond our borders and supports missionaries through prayer, finances, resources, and ministry tours.
We see a community built upon Biblical revelation and Biblical leadership that serves people, empowering them to live out their faith in accordance with the calling of God on their life
We see a community that worships God demonstratively, creatively, and passionately, declaring its love for Jesus unreservedly.
We see a community that makes Jesus' last command our first priority: "Go and make disciples."
We see a community that embraces new technology and hosts the wider community with creative enterprise and productions in world class facilities that reflect the creative nature of God. These facilities are offered for lease where available for celebratory events, such as weddings and funerals, graduations, and presentations.
We see a community with an excellent training college that offers accredited and non-accredited courses, designs pathways of discipleship, ministry and leadership, identifies, and trains and releases people into their callings and gifts, to produce graduates who serve the kingdom of God and change the world.
We see a community where preachers preach enthusiastically, leaders lead with diligence and people live out a gospel of relationship passionately.
We see a community that laughs together, enjoys creating memories and celebrates life’s sacred moments with a sense of occasion.
We see a community that is governed with integrity and has leadership and ministry structures that equip people to serve, lead and live out their faith.
We see a community that plants other communities of faith, has partnership programs in schools, colleges, and other community organisations to see the kingdom of God increase and expand.
We see a community that regularly prays together, confessing faith in God to demonstrate God’s power to save, heal and provide, above and beyond all we can think or imagine.
We see a community that writes worship songs that are sung in our services and other communities of faith.
We see a community that honours the heritage of the past and sacrifices of our forefathers, maximises the present and has vision for the future.
We see a community that meets together in small groups in every suburb in the Shire, bringing God and people together around the Bible, fellowship, social engagement, encouragement, worship, prayer, and pastoral care.
We see a community that serves the Fellowship of Congregational Churches by providing financial, administrative, and practical support to build health, strength, and growth.
We see a community that is led by the Holy Spirit, and is alive in spirit, generous in heart, faith-filled in confession, loving in nature and inclusive in expression, a community that is local and global, a community we call our home.
